Upon first glance, the old wooden building looks rather out of place. It's the only building in the middle of a large wooded area, save the clearing just infront of it. As one draws closer, they'll notice the laterns on the sides of the doors, the light of the flame flickering happily against the massive wooden doors. These doors, etched with the visage of dragons, stand a good fifteen feet tall. Once one pushes their way inside, everything seems to be a more normal size, that is, if you're an average human.
Everything inside appears to be old and rustic in nature. It seems like one of those themed restaurants, from the large, wooden wagon wheel chandelier hanging in the tavern proper, to the fire-lit metal lanterns lighting the interior. The other side of the tavern sports a large fireplace, a couch to sit back and enjoy the warm fires. While things appear to be rustic, one might notice the bar is fully equipped with modern necessities - running water, beer taps, and the like. Next to it is a modern day Jukebox, using digital music technology. The bathrooms use large fluorescent lighting, even.
If you're tired, pick a room on the second floor, in the rear. Eight are available, assuming no one else has taken them. In the very back, the bathrooms are available with showers. Just be careful, if you wear out your welcome, you'll find yourself waking up... not where you went to sleep...

You suddenly feel unwelcome in this hall and walk back out, closing the door behind you. You descend the stairs and walk to the bar. Might as well have a drink.

The Kaerwyn **Tavern** is the main area of play for the majority of Kaerwyn events. While we also have several other areas of play (Log, Crossroads, Town, etc) the tavern brings the most people together during the RP. It is the meeting spot for the majority of regular chit-chat and occassional action.
Upon first glance, the old wooden building looks rather out of place. It's the only building in the middle of a large wooded area, save the clearing just infront of it. Deletions:
You notice a sign as you walk down the street. It hangs swinging just outside of a groove and tongue lumber building. A bistro by the looks of it, tavern and restaurant in one. You push open the old oak doors, trimmed in brass to enter. You notice that the doors are worn, deep gouges from what could be claws, swords or daggers mar it, the brass trim is tarnish mostly but highly polished where many hands have touched it. You push them to enter and they swing easily and grant you access inside.
Once inside the first thing you notice side from the dimmed lighting is the warm, welcoming feel. You look around, letting your eyes adjust to the lighting. Immediately in front of you see many tables and chairs, gathered around in random clusters from the many patrons adjusting them to their needs. You notice a staircase to your right, shrouded in the darkness caused by a balcony that surrounds the entire area. Your eyes pan across the room, noticing the stone fireplace, with it’s typical own collection of chairs and couches forming a semi circle around it. Beyond them in the far right corner you see a small games room, where you see an air hockey table and the normal pool table.
You ignore the air hockey table for a moment, thinking it is a tad odd in such a rustic place until you begin to notice things. The lights you notice are electrical, odd, and then you see the jukebox to the left against the wall. You think that is odd, until as you draw nearer, see it takes CD’s. You are puzzled and walk towards the bar on your left. You glance over it taking in details. Stools surround it, some taller than others, and as you run your hand along it the counter is wooden with a layer of clearcoat on it, and well worn. Glasses hang from above the bar, various sizes and styles. A glass mirror graces the back of the bar, various liquor bottles lined along the shelves. For the most part it looks like your typical bar. To the back left of the bar you see an entrance to what you believe is a kitchen, the doors showing some soot and wear. To the right of the bar you see signs leading to the bathrooms. Curious you glance in, and see they are modern facilities, once again odd for such a rustic place.
You turn around to face the main area and find yourself looking at the back of a stairway. You walk around it and look up. It leads to the second floor and the balcony that frames the bar. You ascend them, running your hands along the brass rails. Once at the top you look around. The balcony circles around the second floor, creating a open ceiling feel. The balcony itself has very few chairs on it, but it’s walls are covered in decorative items, from tapestries to pictures and swords. Your eyes drift back toward a door towards the back right of the balcony once you get off the stairs. Curious you walk towards it and open it. The knob is worn and there’s claw marks on the wood. It is very worn and like the main entranceway doors, oak. You walk down it, noticing doors along it, leading to rooms you assume. On both sides they are found, and one is marked “bathroom: residents only”
