House Iiroz
A Xarax-hil nation of Errux
Capital City: Ae'Mantananakai (Bronze Pillar)
Major Seat: Rhael Tiadoaema Iiroz
Minor Seat: Rhael-tae Neek'Rhael Iiroz
The Iiroz are descendants of those who rebelled against the rule of Korotana five hundred years before Neek'rhael made his first departure for Kaerwyn in 522 xo Ae'Anaekt. Nestled within the mesa-city of Ae'Mantananakai, they maintain a culture of careful preparedness to resist any threats from the Tunani and their allies. Self-Sacrifice is praised above all other virtues, reinforcing the socialist trends of the nation's policies. Practical crafts and knowledge stream from the Pillar as evidenced by the priorities set in the Iirozian Academy, as well as their cutting-edge AEF research knowledge.
The typical native Iirozian is gray of fur and even in height-weight proportion. Males and females alike dress in a wide variety of colors and styles with jewelry left exclusively the domain of the women, who avoid excessive decoration in this manner. The average Iirozian, while an atheist, carries a strong loyalty towards tradition, order, and progress of all sorts. Pride, despite being warned against by the Iirozian motto, runs strong with emphasis on the military and arcane elements of their society. Beyond the strong sense of patriotism, most Iirozians prefer to be distanced from those unfamiliar to them and as a result, public displays of affection and physical contact are strictly avoided. Beneath the stoic exterior of unfamiliarity, close friends and relatives enjoy a vibrant "family" life. Songs, stories, and other oral traditions flourish as a testament to the bond between those that rebelled against Korotana as well as highlight the very social Iirozian life lying behind closed doors.
