The first thing to do when making any page is to decide where it will be linked from. You don't want a page to start off Orphaned, as you may forget to link to it and the Ops will delete it eventually.
Once the referrers have been chosen, pick one to edit. On that page, you want to put the below text somewhere on the page. Do not include the <> marks. Pagename should be the exact name of the page, as will be linked to anywhere else. The other text is what will show up on the page.
[[<pagename> <text to show up>]]
For example, the link Look at Me! uses this page as the pagename, and "Look at Me" for the text to show.
Now, if the page didn't previously exist, it should be underlined in a dotted red line. This means the first person to click on it will be brought straight to the Edit Page page. Unless you want someone else to do it, edit it first! The first person to edit a page gains ownership.
Ownership: This means who can control access to a page for viewing and editing. If you have ownership of a page and aren't supposed to, you can go to Edit Acls and change ownership. If its a public edit page, please set it to Public.
Once the page is up, test it! You'd be surprised what mistakes you can miss.
